First Frost

It was -5 degrees overnight and we woke to "freezing fog". We decided to wait until things warmed up to at least 0 degrees before we ventured out for a walk to the Olympic Park which is about 10 minutes walk from our apartment. There was lots of ice on all of the cars in the street and frost on the ground where it was still in shade.

After walking through the frosty park for about 2 minutes I realised that my paper thin slip on shoes aren't going to cut it when it gets colder and wetter, so I bought a thick soled leather pair on Kaufingerstrasse later today.

For some bizarre reason the are a bunch of handprints of famous people in the concrete around the lake with the unlikely combination of Boris Becker next to Snoop Dogg amongst others.

So far our German is brilliant when we have time to practice what we are going to say but predictably falls apart when asked a follow up question.....ummmm sprechen Sie English?
